Born to master the culinary art and rule the world all before 12!

When cutleries become toys, the after life becomes dream come true!

I have been planning to write a post related to early exposure on today's kids, their smartness and maturity that's par the excellence of their biological age. We have seen children growing up intellectually in areas related to studies, sports, arts, and many other areas. But I was stunned to see kids doing their bit in an area I thought would be an awesomely boring field for kids!

I was wrong and if you have thought the same then you will know you were wrong too! I am talking about something women as grownups do it as part of their routine and yes, a countable number of men consider it as part of their day. Everybody loves to have it but not all of you want to do it. May be you guessed it right, I am talking about cooking.

Have you ever imagined a reality show for kids with the theme cooking good food for winning the title? Well, here it is. We all know MasterChef, don't we? Masterchef Australia hosted cooking competition for kids of age 8 to 12 which was aired in 2010. Recently it is being telecasted in India and that's when my jaws dropped!

Thanks to television which turned out to be more than a idiot box for these little kids. And well, kudos to their parents for giving these kids the much needed exposure to culinary art at young age. It was a treat to the eyes to watch these kids cook with passion and zeal to win.

I turned on the internet and started to google about the Junior Masterchef and it was then I found that the same has been aired in different other countries; Junior Masterchef Belgium, Greece, Israel, Netherlands, Philippines and United Kingdom.

I never thought kids today are so determined and passionate about cooking. Looking back in my childhood when I was 10-12 years old I had just begun assisting my mom with a little vegetable chopping, dough kneading and stuff like that. But look at this new generation kids, they are able to invent their dishes for a competition, wow, they are amazing.

Since I have watched only the Australian version of Junior Master chef I would like to add a little about the winner of Junior Masterchef 2010 Australia, Isabella. She is a darling, I totally adore her. It's not just about her culinary skills but also her attitude and her soft skills that speaks volumes about the smartness beyond her age. And not just Isabella but the other contestants who were 3-4 years younger to Isabella showed the same manners and the same level of skills throughout the competition.

These little masters of kitchen are already making their career dance to their tunes! Bravo. The exposure they had at such young age will truly give a different meaning to their future life and their choice of future profession.

What do you have to say? Is it a stress on young minds to perform for a show watched by the nation or is it a boon for a few lucky kids?
